Responsibilities: Town Councils deal with a small number of local issues. Most things they can not control unless they negotiate with County Council. In Aberystwyth, Town Council mainly organises events, tries to get grants to bring improvement projects to the town, and is working on taking a larger role in parks maintenance. Your Town Councillors are your neighbours who are elected to voice your concerns to County Council and one becomes Mayor each year.
